Memorial Health Care Systems, an award-winning Critical Access Hospital in Seward, Nebraska, is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our dedicated team. This full-time, primarily day-shift position offers a balanced schedule with limited on-call responsibilities—just one evening or on-call shift per week, one weekend in seven, and rotating holidays.

What You’ll Do

• Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and analyses that inform patient diagnosis and treatment
• Collect and handle patient specimens using proper techniques and protocols
• Accurately record and report results through the laboratory information system
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments
• Support quality assurance and participate in proficiency testing
• Prepare reagents and maintain laboratory standards
• Communicate effectively with providers and team members to ensure high-quality patient care

What You Bring

• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently with confidence and accountability
• MLS: Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or related field
• MLT: Associate degree from an accredited program
• ASCP certification required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
